A chilly weekend followed by a very mild weekend. Seems like Alberta’s Chinook winds are finding their way to Saskatchewan.
Tonight the Vegas Marathon clinic winds up, good luck to everyone heading down to Las Vegas to run the Rock & Roll Marathon. Have a great time folks. I’m told the race has been sold out with 44,000 participants. Wow!
BRAINSPORT BRAINFREEZE CLINIC
Looking for the perfect early season prep race for the Saskatchewan Marathon? The next BRAINSPORT BRAINFREEZE is Sunday, March 4, 2012. You can run 10K or Half Marathon. This clinic will prepare you for your best Brainfreeze!
Clinic will start on Wednesday, December 14 at 6:15 PM and run for 12 weeks and is coached by Brandi Pozniak. There will also be a Sunday long run option hosted by your coach as part of this program. The clinic is geared for the half marathon but those preferring the 10K can have their program adjusted individually by your coach.
Cost $125 plus GST ( Does not include race entry )
SPRING CLINICS Our list of clinics for spring leading up to the Saskatchewan Marathon have now been posted on our website and you can sign up anytime now to prepare for it. The SRRA have already started promoting early registration for the marathon.
MOVEMBER AMIGOS Sorry, the picture we had taken last Wednesday isn't uploading, we must have broken the camera this time. You'll just have to come see us in person.

Thank you for all your support. ANNUAL CLUB CHRISTMAS GET TOGETHER This year we are planning to combine Saturday morning run club with our Christmas Social. We would love to see the walkers from Wednesday night come out for this event too. Saturday, December 17 at 8:30 it will be Run Club as usual followed by coffee and snacks from Caffe Sola. Because we need to plan for numbers we ask that you let us know if you are coming. Sign up in store, phone, or email and we’ll put you on our list, and we’ll be checking it twice.
CHRISTMAS GIFT REGISTRY Have you seen something in our stores that you would like for Christmas? We’ve started a binder that we can keep track of gifts you might like to receive. If you would like to tell us what you would like, colours, and size we’ll keep it on file and then your friends and family can pick them up for you. You can email us or tell us when you are in the store. This might save those uncomfortable situations when we are asked to guess what size you might be when your family doesn’t know.
RUN FOR ORPHANS There was a good turn out on Friday for the run for Kenyan orphans. Approximately 45 people came out and raised around $1,300. I saw comments on Facebook later that the soup afterwards was “Yummy” and “every run should end like that”. Kudos to Kelvin Jones and his group of volunteers for doing such a good job. Kelvin even had volunteer leaders set up for every pace group, imagine that.
