What happened to Pedestrian?
Pedestrian has joined with Brainsport at the new location. Many of the styles our customers love have followed us and will be available at Brainsport.
What is your return policy?
We have a 30-day return policy. Shoes must be returned with the box and receipt and must only have been worn indoors, be clean, and in resellable condition. We encourage you to try your shoes indoors to make sure they are suitable before wearing them outside. Clothing must be returned with tags and receipt.
How long should a pair of shoes last?
Manufacturers often suggest a shoe will last 500 to 800 kms. We suggest you replace your running shoes anywhere between 6 and 12 months. The best test of a shoe coming to the end of its life is how it feels. If you have not changed your regular routine and notice soreness or pain, it may be time for a new pair of shoes. Feel free to bring your old shoes in and ask us!
Where can I donate my gently used shoes?
Check out all the details on this program here.
What is your best shoe?
We have many great shoes. The best shoe is the one that fits you and supports you properly. This is not necessarily the most expensive shoe or the most popular shoe in a running magazine.
Do you have orthotic friendly shoes?
Yes, all the running or walking shoes we carry have removable inlays so that you can put your orthotics in. Most fashion shoes and sandals are not orthotic friendly. We do however carry some that will accommodate orthotics.
Do you make orthotics?
No, nor do we make adjustments to shoes. We can refer you to several podiatrists who we work closely with.
I’ve never been a size 10 before, what’s up?
Various factors affect shoe size. As we age our feet can flatten out and your foot size will change. Women often find their feet change size after having children. Shoe sizing between brands and models can vary. You might wear a 9 ½ in one brand but a 10 in another. We often find people wear shoes that are too small for them. Snug fitting shoes can feel comfortable if that's what you're used to, but if they're too tight, that can lead to foot problems over time. The right size shoe will be snug in the heel and arch, roomy in the toe and will help keep your feet healthy for years to come.
Can I order shoes or clothing you don’t carry?
If it is from a company that we already deal with and it is available for sale in Canada we will try and bring it in for you. For items we do not stock we may charge a non-refundable deposit in case you don’t accept the item and we have to send it back.
Where can I park?
We have free customer parking on the east side of our building at 616 10th Street E. There is also metered parking on 10th Street and on Broadway.
